DockRat Entertainment began in 1993 when student film and video makers Benn
Farrell, Jason Figueroa, Scott Bechberger, Bhriain Farrell
and Chris Cooper ventured to produce Farrell's short form screenplay "The
Running." They began their mishaps in film/video production under the name Comatose
Picturez.
DockRat Entertainment took to the theatrical stage in the summer of 2000, with the world
premier of Farrell's full length play "24 Hours and Something Original," which
was produced by Michael D. Stansbery and the Masquers at PPCC in Colorado
Springs. The production had a successful three week run and received rave to mediocre
reviews from local newspapers.
Scott Bechberger
graduated Pikes Peak Community College with a degree in computer information systems. He also
resides in Colo Springs with his wife Sonia and step daughter Brandi. He is currently developing
a noir mystery Internet series with Farrell for DockRat Entertainment, tentatively titled "Dark Corners."
Tony Hughes, his wife dancer/actress Viviane Hughes and their
four year old daughter Iris currently reside in Switzerland where he continues
to write for the screen and develop upcoming projects.
Benn Farrell continues to write for the stage
and screen, as well as other freelance outlets, knocking out works such
as "The War Over Tigger," "Losing Rebecca,"
"Slow Kidz at Play," a screenplay for "24 Hours and Something Original,"
"This Girl from Providence" and most recently "Mourning News." He recently returned from Le Vaud,
Switzerland, where he
finished his latest stageplay titled "Fat Farm." Currently, he resides in Colorado Springs once again, working on
another screenplay adaptation and co-producing a weekly Internet movie talk show for Brian and Benn's Movie Corner.
